                                        In general the definition of a crime is an act punishable by law, usually considered an evil act. Crime refers to many types of misconduct forbidden by law. Crimes include such things as murder, stealing a car, resisting arrest, possession or dealing of illegal drugs, being nude in public , drunk driving, and bank robbery. Crime is an act that has been timeless and has been committed practically since the start of time. For example, ever since Cain killed his brother Abel (B.C.), people being charged with witchcraft in the 1600’s, prostitution, to the current crimes of modern day(A.D.). Even though crime has existed throughout time it has progressed and branched out taking many types forms. Crimes are frequently classified according to their seriousness as felonies or misdemeanors.                 Victimization is the process of being victimized or becoming a victim. The field that studies the process, rates, incidence, affects, and prevalence of victimization is called victimology. Example of Victimization:                                            forms of victimization include bullying or peer victimization, physical abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, robbery, and assault. Some of these forms  of victimization are commonly associated with certain populations , but they can happen to others as well. The impact of criminal victimization is serious, throwing victims into a state of shock, fear, anxiety and anger.
